I met with both Dr. Dinsmore and Sarah Watson at my first appointment and had a great experience. Since then I've had multiple appointments with Sarah and have nothing but positive things to say. As I go through the IVF process her treatments have been a wonderful source of relaxation and support. The offices are clean, convenient, and comfortable -- Sarah is clearly concerned for her patients well being and knowledgeable about the fertility treatment process. I'd highly recommend her services! ~ S.W.
I saw Britta and Sarah when I was very emotionally drained and feeling overwhelmed with my fertility issues. It was very easy to talk with Britta and I felt she really understood the process and the emotions I was dealing with, which my other "women's health" counselor did not. I have begun seeing her on a regular basis. I also really enjoyed the massage with sarah. I am very thankful that ORM provided the certificate and introduced me to their services. My husband is grateful too :) Anonymous
Britta and Sarah definitely understand fertility issues. I have nothing but good things to say about my sessions with both of them. I have been to other counselors and massage therapists, but nobody who understood what at I was going through and could focus on my concerns about infertility and my IVF cycle like Britta and Sarah did. They both gave me tools that I know I will use at home to help me cope with my feelings and stay more positively connected to my body. I highly recommend their services. HG
My time spent with Sarah was much needed and well worth it. She spent a generous amount of time with me allowing me the feeling that all I of my needs were being met. IVF can be such a stressful, exciting, life-changing process....it was nice to talk with someone who seemed to understand what I was dealing with. And let's not forget, in addition to her nurturing demeanor, she's an incredibly talented massage therapist. Everything said, it was a great experience. ~EMC
I was very impressed with my sessions with Sarah and Britta, and I highly recommend all IVF patients take advantage of their services. I underwent the massage and counseling session the day before I began my shots, and it was a lovely, soothing, therapeutic way to begin this process. Sarah emphasized the mind-body connection and the importance of being connected to my body during the scientific procedure. Britta is a calming presence with a sympathetic manner, and she gave me good relaxation and coping techniques. I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated my time with them and would recommend them to anyone who would like a healing, connecting, calming oasis during what can be a very stressful time.
Sincerely,
Suzanne Vannatter
The IVF process is very exhausting and stressful. It was a nice benefit to have the session with Sarah just before the transfer when I was most stressed and nervous for the outcome. Sarah was very comforting and informative being that she is familiar with the IVF process and all that us patients are going through. I will definitely be back for additional sessions.
I've had many massages before, so I understand the benefit of massage both mentally and physically. I felt that Sarah was one of the best I've had in terms of support, relaxation and knowledge. I hope all the ORM patients try her out, I would certainly recommend her not only to people I know that are going through IVF but also just my regular friends. I also appreciated that she helped me understand my specific ailments and had solutions for them!
I went to my appointment with Sarah Watson with the thought "what do I have to lose by trying something different?" We have been through 8 cycles of IVF over the last 9 years at different clinics. Some were successful, others not. I had never had a massage specifically centered around the procedure I would be having that week (transfer). The time we spent talking, and the actual motions of the massage (especially those centered on head, heart and womb) were very meaningful to me, and really helped me center myself in the moment. It helped me to let go of my worries and reflect on the miracle of my strong body, with or without a baby. For me, it was a much-needed sister-to-sister feeling of support and even spiritual connection - a connection I didn't even realize I was missing! I appreciated having the opportunity to experience that. Without the certificate, I would not have gone forward with the expense of trying something like it. I'm very glad I went. (Something interesting to add: the cycle was successful and my baby boy is due in 6 weeks. It has been a healthy and good pregnancy.) - K
It felt wonderful to let myself be "taken care of". I'm a pretty private person, so most people don't even know I'm trying to get pregnant. Everyday, I try to keep myself together and not let anyone know what's going on inside. I came to my wellness session wanting to feel more positive and optimistic about my cycle. I didn't know that getting to that place would mean opening up and allowing myself to feel more of my feelings, emotionally and physically. Both the counseling and the massage session gave me room to do that, and I did leave the appointment feeling much more positive and hopeful. I feel like a huge has been lifted off my shoulders. I really thank ORM for offering this service- Anonymous
Sarah was a welcome reprieve from the many stresses my husband and I faced as a couple undergoing the process of IVF. She not only gave a massage that felt healing and so relaxing (both were much needed) but she spent time with me prior to the session, allowing me to share some of the emotional facets of undergoing IVF. Sarah was patient, supportive, compassionate and offered hope. It was also reassuring that she is so knowledgeable about IVF, as patients are instructed to not be given deep tissue massages during the process. I could just kind of melt away on her massage table, knowing that she was only doing something to benefit me. ~ J.R.
